Lahore, Pakistan — October 13, 2026: Logixs Journals is pleased to announce that it has become a signatory of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), one of the founding declarations of the global open access movement. By signing, Logixs Journals joins thousands of universities, libraries, publishers, journals, and research organizations worldwide in a shared commitment to making scholarly research freely available to everyone.
The BOAI was issued in Budapest, Hungary, on February 14, 2002, and gave the first formal definition of open access. It describes open access as the free availability of research on the public internet. Under this definition, anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of articles, and use them for any lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers. The declaration also holds that authors should keep control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited. For an organization, signing the BOAI means a public commitment to open access through support for open access journals and institutional self-archiving.
This commitment reflects how Logixs Journals already works. All articles published across our journals are freely available online to readers worldwide, with no subscription or access fees. Becoming a signatory formalizes these principles and places our journals within an international community working toward fair and equitable scholarly communication.
For our authors, open access means wider readership, greater visibility, and more opportunities for their work to be cited and built upon. For readers, including clinicians, students, educators, and researchers in low- and middle-income countries, it means access to peer-reviewed evidence without cost being a barrier. Logixs Journals will continue to strengthen its open access practices, including transparent publication policies, clear licensing, and broad indexing that makes published work easy to find.
We thank our editors, reviewers, and authors, whose dedication to open and rigorous scholarship made this step possible. Researchers who share this vision are warmly invited to publish with Logixs Journals.
