The Executive Board of the Journal of Social & Health Sciences (JSHS) is delighted to welcome Professor Shakila Zaman as the new Editor-in-Chief. With an illustrious career spanning over 45 years, Prof. Zaman is a revered figure in the medical and academic communities. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Clinical Immunology from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and is celebrated for her contributions as a Community Paediatrician and academician.

Currently serving as Professor Emeritus at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan, Prof. Zaman has left a significant mark on both the national and international stages. Her tenure at the Health Services Academy in Islamabad and the Institute of Public Health in Lahore has been marked by pioneering initiatives in public health education and research.

Prof. Zaman's extensive teaching and research experience, along with her dedication to advancing health sciences, make her an ideal leader for JSHS. Under her guidance, the journal looks forward to furthering its mission of disseminating cutting-edge research in social and health sciences.
