The Journal of Social & Health Sciences (JSHS) is pleased to announce its official recognition in the ‘Y’ Category by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, effective November 5, 2025, as per Notification No. 15-54/Coord/2019/R&ID/HEC/876 issued under the updated HEC Journals and Publications Policy 2024.
This recognition follows the journal’s successful indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and is a testament to its growing academic credibility, peer-reviewed publishing standards, and commitment to accessible, high-impact research in the fields of public health, social sciences, and health policy.
Published by Logixs Journals, JSHS is a peer-reviewed, open-access multidisciplinary journal that provides a platform for original research, reviews, and scholarly commentary. It covers a broad range of disciplines including epidemiology, sociology, psychology, anthropology, health systems, demography, and behavioral sciences, while also encouraging conference proceedings, thematic special issues, and cross-sectoral collaborations.
JSHS is led by Prof. Dr. Shakila Zaman, Editor-in-Chief and Professor Emeritus at the University of Health Sciences Lahore, whose career spans over four decades in academic medicine and public health. Serving as Patron is Dr. Muhammad Tariq, a distinguished health systems expert and CEO of Development Synergies International, widely recognized for his work in digital health and AI-driven policy innovation.
