The Executive Board of the Journal of Nutrition & Allied Health Sciences (JNAHS) has appointed Prof. Umar Farooq as the new Editor-in-Chief. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of nutrition and allied health sciences, and we are confident that he will help take our publication quality to new heights.
Prof. Umar Farooq is an academician and researcher by profession and holds a Ph.D. in Food Technology. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Food Science & Technology, Muhammad Nawaz Shareef (MNS) University of Agriculture, Multan, Pakistan. He has undertaken 15 funded projects as principal or co-principal investigator, which amounted to 110.51 million Pakistani rupees. Dr. Umar has 69 international peer-reviewed publications with an approximate accumulated impact factor of 135.231 and has authored two books and contributed 11 chapters to the edited books. Moreover, he has presented his work at various national and international scientific forums. In addition to his duties, Dr. Umar is working as Chairman Department of Food Science & Technology, Additional Director of ORIC and Principal Officer of Academics, and Chairman Admission Committee at his parent university. Furthermore, he has supervised several M.Phil. and Ph.D. students. His area of research is food microbiology, food nutrition, food safety and quality, and food science and technology.
As Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Umar Farooq will oversee the quality and direction of JNAHS. He will work closely with our editors and authors to ensure that we continue publishing innovative and impactful research.
