Journal of Nutrition & Allied Health Sciences (JNAHS) is an open-access journal that aims to disseminate rigorously peer-reviewed research in health and rehabilitation sciences, with a special focus on biological, clinical, and socio-humanistic aspects. The journal's primary goal is to strengthen nutrition, rehabilitation, and allied health sciences, which can contribute to improving the health, functioning, and wellness of communities living with limitations in functioning that experience disabilities.

Dr. Umar J. Alvi is an anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of experience in medical and allied health sciences. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA). Currently, Dr. Umar is serving as Director of Administration at Hussain Memorial Hospital and its subsidiary Hussain College of Health Sciences, affiliated with the Government College University Faisalabad for the last 12 years. He has a special interest in intensive care.

Prof. Umar Farooq is an academician and researcher by profession and holds a Ph.D. in Food Technology. Currently, he is serving as a professor at the Department of Food Science & Technology, Muhammad Nawaz Shareef (MNS) University of Agriculture, Multan, Pakistan. He has undertaken 15 funded projects as principal or co-principal investigator, which amounted to 110.51 million Pakistani rupees. Dr. Umar has 69 international peer-reviewed publications with an approximate accumulated impact factor of 135.231 and has authored two books and contributed 11 chapters to the edited books. Moreover, he has presented his work at various national and international scientific forums. In addition to his duties, Dr. Umar is working as Chairman Department of Food Science & Technology, Additional Director of ORIC and Principal Officer of Academics, and Chairman Admission Committee at his parent university. Furthermore, he has supervised several M.Phil. and Ph.D. students. His area of research is food microbiology, food nutrition, food safety and quality, and food science and technology.
